Carrol is a very good player when fit, I'd say as effective as Sakho.
It's just he never stays fit and you just wonder whether he ever wil.

Anyone reckon that BFS will be bold enough to ever play all three.... Valencia and Sakho feeding off Carroll in the centre. Has the potential to be awesome.

As mentioned, early days for Sakho. How many strikers start well and then fade or get hit with 2nd season syndrome? Its once teams recognise a player as a threat and understand their strengths that they start to put in place tactics, formations etc.. to counter them. Sakho is having a nice honeymoon period just now and after Xmas we will see if he can sustain his effectiveness and definitely next season we will see if he can kick on and get even better which might just be required just to continue getting goals.
Caroll is a great asset to the squad when fit and that is his issue, plain and simple. Different player completely and one that can create space and chances for others in many games with his aerial strengths. Look at the way Citeh use Dzeko. He starts sometimes but rotates with Aguiera and others. Carroll, Valencia, Sakho will be used the same way. The old "horses for courses" thing :) Also, having options means BFS can change things if we are not doing so well. Carroll coming on after 60 mins would be a nightmare for some defenders to deal with as they tire.
In short, different types of players who should provide options in what is now about squad strength IMHO.

Carrolls piece is bang average and looks rather grubby so suits him well.

Beginners luck for Sakho and long may it continue.
It will take some effort to get to Carroll's level and value and it isnt just about goals. We have one of European great number 9s in Carroll, it would be great if Sakho could even get to being half as good, we would have some player then.

I'm pretty sure you don't go to TWICKERS and rip into every misplaced throw by the players.. probably because you know a real man in the crowd would give you a clip round the ear I'd imagine, but still, you GO to games to support, it's easy to rip into them from the armchair son..
